Concern or Interest with the Beetle Kill Epidemic: I worked with the forest service 30 years ago out of Boulder doing beetle work. From my experience the epidemic will go until the beetles eat themselves out of house and home. And even if the Forest Service had continued to have large programs of prescribed cuts then to thin the forests I doubt that any thing like that would have made a difference now, with the beetles being so pervasive.
