Business Description: Developing a Private land owners association to conduct beetle infested forest restoration and develop stewartship and management plans for removeal of dead and infested trees, reduce wildfire risks, maintain wildlife habitates and improve watershead areas. Conduct national and international market surveys for forest products removed during restoration projects.
Products and Services: Provide forest restoration services to private land owners of a cost sharing basis using stewardship contracts, as well as federal and state grants to fund the restoration process.
Transport harvested forest products, logs, chips, mulsh and slash to collection points where it can then be shipped to industrial and energy companies for boiler fuel, wood pellets, bedding chips mulsh and other uses.
Concern or Interest with the Beetle Kill Epidemic: The USFS ans State Forist services have done little to control the spread of beetle infestation and wildfire risks. It is not just a Colorado problem, it runs from Canada to Mexico in the Rocky mountain Range and in all western states. There is not enough small log sawmills or pellet plants to handle the millions of trees that need to be harvested. Forest Grants are inadequately funded for effect.
